They’ve Had Enough of the Dismal Education, so They Created Deviszont

The founders of the Deviszont community space had enough of the hierarchical relationships prevalent in the traditional school system. That’s why they established a place in Kispest that is democratic and shaped collectively with the young people attending, typically those studying in vocational education. The founders of Deviszont use the tools of “critical pedagogy” for this work—what exactly this entails and what it means in practice, we asked the organizers of Deviszont and the participating young individuals.
